Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Physical exercises are much more important to the elderly people than to the young people.

In my opinion, I agree that physical exercises are much more important to the elderly people than to the young people. Others may say that doing exercise help young people to develop healthy. However, the physiology of human was declining, when people get older. So the elderly people need to do exercises more than young people to keep health for three reasons.

First of all, the rate of metabolism in elderly people is slower than young people.
The research states Metabolism of human body is slowed down by ageing. Many diseases in elderly people are caused by the metabolic disorder. However, doing exercise is able to increase the rate of metabolism. To solve the problem which is caused by aging to keep the elderly people healthy.

Second, the amount of daily activity of elderly people is fewer than young people. Most of elderly people who work stay in the same position for many hours in front of the computer every day and go anywhere by vehicle. The young people have many courses of physical education. They play sports in leisure time and go anywhere on foot. The elderly people daily activity most is a stationary state. They should do exercise in leisure time to maintain their health.

Third, doing exercise can help the elderly people to release their stress. The people who are responsible for many duties will have a lot of stresses in their life. Doing exercise is a best way to release stress. For example if you go for a walk for 30 minutes three days a week. It will help your body to relax.

It is clear that physical exercise is more important for older people than for younger people. This is because older people's life style in modern needs to do exercise to keep their health. Their health condition could affect their quality of life. Only if the elderly people keeping health, they can take care of the young people. Thus, doing exercise is important for older people.
